It’s time for Tuesday Tales!
Today we have an excerpt from Tangled in Clouds, an upcoming novella from my According to Liam world.
Do bear in mind that these snippets are unedited so please be kind if you find any mistakes.
This story may have gay erotic scenes, strong social issues addressed and mature language. If those things offend now is the time to move onto another Tuesday Tales blog. Thanks for stopping by!
I rose, walked to the doorway, and peeked around to see Heikko studying some family pictures in a wall collage. There were a few of me as a child in pigtails and jumpers that most people commented on.
“Grampa, I’m not sure I can do our movie time tonight.” Heikko turned from the collage with an arched eyebrow. “I have a friend over for dinner.”
“I can watch a movie with you and your grandfather if you wish.” Heikko nodded when I gave him a look of disbelief. “Yes, please. Let’s do the movie. I have no wish to go home yet unless you wish me to?”
Ah, the sneaky adorable Pete. “Okay well if you don’t mind an old rom-com then I’m game.”
Heikko grinned at me. I kind of lost the knowledge of how to speak for a moment. “Never mind, Gramps. Looks like we’ll have three for the movie tonight. Let me get the video call set up.”
“I’m sorry, Jamie. I completely forgot about your dinner plans,” Grampa Bruce apologized several times after I had the call all set up on my phone.
“It’s fine. Grampa Bruce, this is Heikko Keto. Heikko, my grandfather Bruce Palmer.” I moved the phone so they could say hello and wave to each other.
“I’ll go get some soda pop from the fridge.” Heikko hustled off. My head craned to keep my sight on his backside.
“That boy is a brute,” Gramps chuckled. “Got a jaw that could cut glass.”
“He is a looker,” I whispered before flicking on the TV to find the right channel. Heikko returned a few minutes later with two cans of root beer. He popped the tab for me. Root beer fizz tickled my nose as Heikko lowered his bulk down onto the sofa beside me.

You tricked me. I thought the glass was going to be a beer! AND then it was about his jaw. I love it. Well done.
