It’s time for Tuesday Tales!
Welcome back! This week is our picture prompt week, and all posts must reflect the chosen image. Our picture prompt posts have to reflect the chosen image and can be no longer than 300 words.
Do bear in mind that these snippets are unedited so please be kind if you find any mistakes.
This story may have gay erotic scenes, strong social issues addressed and mature language. If those things offend now is the time to move onto another Tuesday Tales blog. Thanks for stopping by!
We sat at a window table, facing each other, our feet tangling under the lime green table. “You are a sight for these old eyes. I’m so happy to be here. To meet your family finally, and to spend some time on the lake fishing.”
“I’m super glad you’re here too.” It was on the tip of my tongue to tell him how sorry I was that his season was over while mine was just starting. And on one level I was sorry for him. Yet, on another greedy level, I was glad we’d have this time together. Not that I wanted him to get hurt to get here but since the fates had hit us with that accident then we might as well try to look on the bright side. “Our game tonight is with one of our rivals, the Cayuga Cougars. They’ve got a great team, lots of new talent, and one of the best power plays in the league. They’ll be a challenge but we’re up to it.”
He nodded along as he perused the paper menu that had been tucked between the napkin holder and the ketchup bottle. Timmy waved at me from behind the sandwich counter.
Tarcy looked up, turned, inclined his head at Timmy, and then looked me right in the eye.
“I think that’s Jerry Garcia reincarnated,” he whispered.
“Right?!”
We fell into laughter and everything was back to normal in my world. The worry dissolved. Well, a large chunk of it. Guess there would always be concern when he was behind the wheel but for now, he was here, he was safe, and he was gazing at me as if I were some kind of artwork. After the server took our order and handed it to Timmy, Tarcy sat back with a glass of sweet tea, and leveled those magnificent eyes right at me.
“Would you mind if I told you again that I love you?” he asked.
I shook my head. I would never get tired of hearing that. Or saying it.
Thanks so much for dropping by!
