Kestrel & Kee Paranormal Investigators: The Siren of Lake Killikee
One speaks to the dead, the other talks to everyone else. Both have hearts that are whispering to each other’s.
Archimedes Kee has always had the gift. From his youngest days, he has been able to communicate with the dearly departed. Most of the time, they seek him as a way to correct wrongs or for help moving over to the next plane. Some just want to complain about badly written books. Generally, he does his best to aid the stranded spirits as he juggles working part-time at his grandfather’s bookstore, a job he adores, with attending a local college. Stuck in the grind of the day-to-day, he is totally unprepared for the arrival of Phil Kestrel, who blows into his life like a hurricane with his blond hair, blue eyes, and unparalleled exuberance.
For the first time in forever, Archie can’t pull back into the protective shell he has learned to keep up. Phil is not only a charmingly sweet and sexy man, but he’s also slowly winning Archie’s heart one 80’s song at a time. After witnessing an unearthly book club meeting late one night the football star slash film major discovers Archie’s secret and proposes a plan. They make a ghost hunter show for extra credit and to bring much-needed foot traffic to the old bookstore. The plan has merit, so they seek out a local legend and face off against an anguished soul who puts their new bond to the test.

As a new year rings in Archie and Phil are about to wrestle with an entity hellbent on riding the dark waves of their worst nightmares.
Archimedes Kee is so in love that he can’t seem to think straight. Not only is his boyfriend, Phil Kestrel, the most amazing man in Liverswell, Massachusetts, but he’s also the other half of their newly formed paranormal investigative duo. While Archie possesses the gift to speak with the dead, Phil is at his side livestreaming their encounters with those who have yet to move over to the light. Since their rather harrowing night at Lake Killikee in the fall they’ve been taking small cases for local folks. Easy jobs such as simple seances or trips to the local cemetery to ask where someone hid important papers.
Nothing too taxing for the couple or their backup techs. But views are dropping while foot traffic to the Kee’s dusty bookstore are falling off. They need new content. And it needs to be as big as the Halloween show.
Pushing aside his reservations Archie agrees to travel out to an abandoned asylum in the next county for a New Year’s Eve glow party that should give their viewers the scary—and cute romantic boy love—content that they crave. With their camera and a bottle of bubbly to celebrate a sleepover in a creepy hospital that has fallen into ruin in hand, Archie and Phil are about to run into a terrifying force that only wants one thing: to feast on their darkest night terrors.
Kestrel and Kee—The Mare Rider of Cornwall Cove is an opposites attract, established couple, queer new adult paranormal romance with a devoted pair of sweethearts, a cheeky residentiary ghost, lots of family love, two poltergeists with secrets to share, a cursed sanatorium, and a well-deserved happy ending.
