It’s time for Tuesday Tales!
Today we have the final snippet from A Brush of Blue, Colors of Love #5 as I’m just about done this book and will be starting a new one toot sweet! This week we get a romantic bit of story as Landon and Montrell are starting to work through their initial problems.
This story may have gay erotic scenes, strong social issues addressed and mature language. If those things offend now is the time to move onto another Tuesday Tales blog. Thanks for stopping by!
I was settled in my seat, my phone out, checking on my texts. When I found one from Montrell, my empty stomach did this lurching thing and my head felt light. I wondered if I was having a bout of low blood sugar or something, but it cleared up quickly.
You do good hockey. One question. Are you supposed to hobble opposing players? – M
That made me laugh out loud.
Glad to hear you’re watching me do hockey. Only when they get in my crease. – L
Not expecting a reply as the show was doing some sort of live broadcast tonight after an award show, I knew he’d be on stage in about ninety minutes. His quick reply was a pleasant surprise to say the least.
Damn hockey men sliding into your crease. Does that sound dirty to your ears? – M
It did, and it made my balls tingle. A ganky sock hit me in the back of the head. I threw it back toward the rear of the bus then returned to my man. The man. On the phone. He wasn’t mine. I didn’t do mine. We were just dating casually. Nothing deep, just working up to a night of sex that was all. Dirty dating…
I like dirty dating with you. Can we do dinner when I get back? – L
Yes. – M
A shivering rush ran over me, a hot/cold flush that I’d never experienced before outside of a flu-induced fever. It was baffling yet made me giddy.
Excellent. Dinner it is. You set it up. I’ll go wherever you wish as long as I can look into your eyes again. – L
I paused before sending that last message. It felt really…romantic. It scared me. I wanted to delete it but I couldn’t bring myself to do so. So there it sat, looking at me, a bunch of words terrifying me in ways a lumbering Finn with a grudge never could. My heartbeat doubled.
