It’s time for Tuesday Tales!

This story may have gay erotic scenes, strong social issues addressed and mature language. If those things offend now is the time to move onto another Tuesday Tales blog. Thanks for stopping by!
“Sure yeah, I just wanted you to know that I think you’re fucking gorgeous and funny and if you were into the idea of maybe going out sometime I’d be down with that.”
My gaze flew from my soup to Tigh’s beautiful face. My head felt woozy. My skin clammy. My heart was racing. Was this what a panic attack felt like? Gorgeous? No, no, I was far from…Did he really think I was gorgeous? “
“What are you saying? Dating me would be…I’m literally old enough to be your father.”
He shrugged. “Age is just a number.” I snorted. “Seriously, it’s inconsequential to me. I spend time with people that I feel a connection with. Gender, race, age none of that is the least bit important to me. The last man I dated was in his mid-forties, the last woman was fifty, the man after her was twenty and asexual.”
Wow. The times they sure had a changed. I chewed on his reply for a moment. The fact that Mike had told him about us would have to be slow-digested. Like Thanksgiving dinner it would have to be processed over many hours, or in my case, days or weeks.
“Go out? Where?” I managed to say while Tigh hurried to finish his soup.
“The marina, or over to the theater in Phillips or just do dinner here in town. I’m easy to get along with.”
I emptied my second beer. My food sat before me, smelling wonderful, but unable to lure me from the deep brown of his eyes or the soft sweep of his lashes.
“Yes, yes you are,” I whispered. He smiled, letting me know that he’d caught my breathy exhalation. “I uhm…” A couple sat down beside us, close enough that they’d hear what we were saying. “So that muffler?”

I love the connection that is forming between them. So heart-warming to see Carl have someone who can lift his spirits and his image of himself, which has been sorely damaged. And too bad they have to watch their convo because of who’s sitting next to them. But such is life, no? Great snippet.

ooh, must be love if even food won’t tempt him away. Love it.

Mmm– love his reaction to his brown eyes and the pic, too. Your last line made me laugh, although in another way I was sorry they were interrupted.

I love the way Tigh is so casual and easy going. And totally ready to get what he wants too! Come on, Carl. Don’t let this one go. Great job!
