It’s time for Tuesday Tales!
Welcome back! This week is our picture prompt week and all posts must reflect the chosen image. Today’s post is from “A Brush of Blue, Colors of Love #5” and in this snippet we meet our leading man, New York Metros goalie, Landon Reece waking up to a phone call from his agent, Arn Toras. Our picture prompt posts have to reflect the chosen image and can be no longer than 300 words.
This story may have gay erotic scenes, strong social issues addressed and mature language. If those things offend now is the time to move onto another Tuesday Tales blog. Thanks for stopping by!
“For fuck sake,” I sighed, sat up, winced at scratches Markus had left on my back, then bent over to pick up the phone and the water. Seeing that it was my agent ringing me I jumped on the call instead of letting it go to voicemail as I would have had it been Markus touching base to see if I wanted to do breakfast. Which was a no. Maybe this time the rather boisterous bottom would get the message. I hoped he remained professional. I’d hate to have to look for a new dentist. “Why are you even awake at…” I glanced at the clock beside my pill bottles, “…six ten in the morning?”
“Hell, I’ve been up for thirty minutes and am cooling down from my treadmill time. So, I heard back from Late Night with Oliver, they want you on two weeks from Wednesday. I checked the preseason schedule and you’re clear, so I’ve sent them an agreement. They’ll be sending over the standard release for you to sign, I’ll fax that over to Kelly so they can start promoting your appearance. Have you thought about who you’d like to act as your personal assistant since your last one flaked out on you and joined that cult in Washington State?”
I stood, stretched, and picked up the weekly pill organizer. Inside each day were three pills. An aspirin, a multi-vitamin, and a PrEP tablet. I washed them down with lukewarm water then padded over to the window to look down on the Hudson River. “I’ve not given it a bit of thought. All my thoughts have been on hockey. Any suggestions?”
“Let me call around. This time let me handle the hiring. Your track record is appalling.”
He had a point. I did kind of go through PA’s with speed. Probably because I tended to be a bit cold and off-putting at times.
Thanks so much for dropping by!

Why do I think this personal assistant will be taking “personal” to a new level? Good set-up for what’s to come. You have me wanting to read more already!
