Ahh family. Is there anything that warms the heart – or sometimes pushes our buttons – more than those we call clan? Whether the tie is blood or chosen it’s a bond that cannot be broken. Being a gay hockey romance author I get to pen tales about blood families as well as the brotherhood of a sports team. The ties that bind a hockey team are as tight as any genetic bond, perhaps even deeper at times. I recall seeing a Rangers goalie weeping when his best friend was traded to another team. If that doesn’t spell family love to you I don’t know what does!

Starting From Zero by Lane Hayes
This story about a rock band is another wonderful example of family found. It’s a great romance and a perfect start to a wonderful series.
